A Look Back at Community Day: Putting Our Communities First

At Idaho First Bank, being a community bank means being an active part of the places we serve. Each year, Community Day gives our team an opportunity to step away from the bank for an afternoon and spend time volunteering with organizations making a difference across Idaho and Oregon.

This year, team members volunteered with local nonprofits throughout our markets, taking on projects ranging from financial literacy education to food bank organization and outdoor clean-up.

Treasure Valley | Boys & Girls Club

Team members from our Boise, Eagle and Nampa locations volunteered at multiple Boys & Girls Club locations throughout the Treasure Valley. Our teams spent the afternoon teaching financial literacy and sharing practical money-management skills with local youth.

The Boys & Girls Club provides safe, supportive spaces where kids and teens can learn, grow and develop skills for the future.

Hailey & Ketchum | The Hunger Coalition

Our Hailey and Ketchum teams spent Community Day volunteering with The Hunger Coalition, an organization working to address food insecurity and provide resources to individuals and families throughout the Wood River Valley.

Team members pitched in to support the organization and the important work it does throughout the community.

McCall | Rise Up 2 Thrive

The McCall team volunteered with Rise Up 2 Thrive, a local nonprofit that provides support and resources to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and other forms of abuse.

The team helped with several hands-on projects, including pulling weeds, cleaning windows and assembling goody bags for an upcoming event.

New Meadows | New Meadows Food Bank

In New Meadows, team members volunteered at the New Meadows Food Bank, helping clean and organize the space to support its ongoing efforts to provide food and resources to members of the local community.

Bend | Deschutes Children’s Foundation

Our Bend team volunteered with Deschutes Children’s Foundation, which supports children and families throughout Central Oregon by providing space and resources for local nonprofit organizations.

Team members spent the afternoon at the Rosie Bareis Campus on Bend’s west side, helping with outdoor clean-up by pulling weeds and raking and bagging pinecones and pine needles.

People First, Community First

Community Day is one of the ways Idaho First Bank puts People First, Community First into action. From sharing financial knowledge to lending a hand with projects that help local nonprofits continue their work, the day is centered around something simple: showing up for the communities we call home.
