Experience Real Estate Lender - Boise

The Residential Real Estate Department of Idaho First Bank is looking for an experienced Residential Real Estate lender to join their team

Minimum qualifications required are:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Three (3) years of related experience and/or training
  • Work related experience consistent with business or financial in-house training sessions and/or financial industry related curriculum

Essential Skills Include:

  • High level of sales and marketing skills including calling on Realtors, Builders, and Financial Planners
  • Effective follow-up systems and ability to manage time well are essential
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to deal with difficult multi-faceted problems in non-standardized situations

Successful candidate will engage in business development activities and solicitation of new business, gather and analyze all information necessary to determine creditworthiness of the customer, negotiate loan terms and conditions, and approve loans within lending limits. Need to be able to explain loan disclosures and understand various loan programs available to customers. NMLS required.

Residential Mortgage Loan Assistant - Boise

Idaho First Bank is looking for a Residential Mortgage Loan Assistant to join their team. The position performs various support duties relative to the customer's needs, along with assisting the loan officer in the development of new business. Ability to obtain an NMLS# is required for this position.

Minimum Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review all documentation pertinent to residential mortgage loans
  • Coordinate and obtain all documents required for loan approval
  • Review loan files - ensure information is complete for loan underwriting
  • Work with customers to satisfy conditions prior to final loan approval
  • Set appointment for loan officer as needed and manage customer calls
  • Comply with all department and company policies, procedures and regulations
  • Additional responsibilities as outlined
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills & Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Business degree is preferred but not required
  • Understanding of the mortgage loan process to assist customers preferred but not required
  • Excellent customer service skills; strong communication and organizational skills
  • High degree of accuracy and detail oriented
  • Self-started, ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; competent with computers and office products
  • Ability to make sound and/or on-the-spot decisions involving customer needs
