Consumer Loan Operations Specialist I

Idaho First Bank is looking for a full-time Consumer Loan Operation Specialist I in McCall


  • Prepare loan documents in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the approved request ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and bank procedures
  • Review loan approvals for complete information
  • Review and ensure perfection of collateral
  • Upload completed documents into proper tracking systems
  • Perform outlined post-closing procedures
  • Completes all other duties as assigned


  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Some work related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of both
  • Strong computer operation skills; word processing; spreadsheet tracking; and loan documentation software programs
  • Basic math skills; ability to calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; locate routine mathematical errors
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, and speak clearly to customer and employees
  • Knowledge of Laser Pro and Point system helpful

Idaho First Bank has an opening for a Compliance Specialist in our McCall office


  • Responsible for the Bank's CRA and HMDA data collection, tracking and reporting software systems
  • Review real estate loans for compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, HMDA , ECOA, Regulation X, Regulation Z, Flood, and Fair Lending on a monthly, quarterly, annual or as needed basis
  • Coordinates the gathering of data for assessment and meets with a variety of staff to obtain the data
  • Responsible for tracking loan exception and maintaining a spreadsheet for documentation and training purposes
  • Assists with special projects dealing with various compliance issues
  • Follow policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports the bank's goals and values; benefits the bank through outside activities
  • Various compliance related responsibilities and duties as assigned


  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures
  • Handle routine problems involving multiple situations; good organizational and time management skills; work with minimal supervision
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Prefer associates degree (AA)/technical trade school or related experience and/or training. However, will train right candidate
  • Basic knowledge of bank administration, lending, and operations products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other bank operational policies and procedures

Position prefers previous compliance banking experience; however will train. This position assures compliance with all bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations
