CEO Updates

Date: October 4, 2023

As we all enjoy the terrific Fall weather, the best time of the year (in my opinion) it’s a good time to reflect on the many things we are both proud of and thankful for at Idaho First Bank. Earlier in 2023, the banking industry found itself in the headlines, and not the type of headline any industry wants to be part of. I’m proud to say our bank navigated that part of the year with great success and very limited impact. Our relationship focused business model delivered by a talented team have built strong relationships with the many great customers of our bank.

Those relationships stayed true allowing our bank to continue growing and adding new customers. During a time when banking was questioned overall, our bank stood tall because our customers stood with us, something to be proud of.

Over the course of the summer we’ve hosted small groups of customers for lunch in Boise, Eagle, Ketchum, McCall and Bend. These lunches have provided great conversation as we’ve had the chance to listen to our customers and hear what is on their mind. One topic I always cover is the importance of Community Banks on local economies. The deposits our customers put in to our bank turn in to loans we make to business owners and homeowners in those very same communities! Those deposits don’t leave the local markets, we keep them local because that’s where we invest our time and hard work and it’s where we live. We are proud to be a Community Bank serving local communities and why we say People First – Community First!
